Put on Your Armor

Do you ever face doubts in your life? I know I do. Sometimes we might think we aren't good enough, or not strong enough. Other times we convince ourselves that our sin is not really all that bad. Perhaps we even doubt that God is real. It is Satan's intention to confuse and cause doubt in our hearts. How do we protect ourselves against it? The Bible tells us we must put on the full armor of God and be prepared for those spiritual battles. But what does that mean? Ephesians 6:10-18 tells us that we do this by being rooted in truth, righteousness, faith and our salvation in Him. We daily make the decision to focus on God. We fight our battles through prayer. We seek out truth and wisdom by immersing ourselves in scripture. Most importantly, it says that we stay alert to what is going on in our spiritual lives. Are we taking time out of our day to do a heart check? These are all ways we can succeed in battling our doubts and fears. When we turn to God, wearing our spiritual armor daily, we can face whatever comes our way.
